| The sassy salsa recipe actually started out of my house in 1997. I always loved salsa and started to experiment with ingredients to find a flavor that I really enjoyed. As I finalized the sassy formula, people seemed to like it. Whenever there was a party and everyone was to bring a dish, I brought salsa. After about a year of this I began to think I was on to something.
I bottled a small amount to gauge it's acceptance with grocers in the area. It was a risk to say the least, but fortunately the sassy recipe was a hit! In May of 1999 I started with one retailer and through the end of the year I had a total of ten and with some luck that number will increase over time.
